Get your store ready to launch

A practical checklist for setting up your first ShopWaka store and checking it before you share the link.

Written by Ben

Use this checklist to get your ShopWaka store ready for customers. You can return to your dashboard at any time to make changes.

Set up the basics

  1. Choose the right store. Use the store switcher at the top of the sidebar if you manage more than one store.

  2. Add your store details. Open Store to update your store name, description, logo and other storefront details.

  3. Add products. Go to Products → Catalogue → Add product. Add clear descriptions, prices, images and stock quantities. Mark download products as digital.

  4. Set up checkout. Add delivery options under Products → Shipping for physical goods, then connect your payment provider under Settings → Payments.

  5. Add your policies. Use Legal to write and publish the policies you want customers to see.

Check what customers will see

Use View store in the sidebar to open your storefront in a separate tab. Check your product pages, navigation, delivery choices and checkout. Try it on a phone as well.

Use demo checkout to practise without taking a payment. When you are ready to accept real orders, check that your store is published, purchases are enabled and demo mode is off.

Share the address opened by View store. If you get stuck, open the chat button on the main ShopWaka site or in your dashboard.
